Our own correspondent advises as thai Mr J. C. Williamson's Royal Comic Opera Company has had the best season experienced in Christchurch by any theatrical company for three or foar years' past. On Saturday night, when "The Dancing Mistress" was revived, the Theatre Royal held what was probably a record audience, the house being packed in every part. Even tho boxes were crowded with the overflow from the stalls and circle, and a large number of people had to be turned away. The huge atA&tdance acted ;. - a stimulant on the company, and " The Dancing Mistress" went with a remarkably fine swing, and was received with great enthusiasm. Gray's immortal " Elegy" took him seven years to write.
