THE SUN. The Sun’s path for this month will be through Libra and Scorpio in R.A. from 14.22 to 16.23, and in Declination South 14.10 to 14.36. THE MOON The Moon’s phases will be as follow : d. h. m.

THE PLANETS. Mercury will be an evening star during the month, but too near the sun to be visible. Venus will be near the Sun, passing the meridian from half an hour to an hour and a-quarter after it. It may therefore bo looked for just after sunset. Mars is in Loo, a few degrees north of the star Rogulus. It wii! be in quadrature with the Sun on the 10th, and near tho Moon on the 29th. Jupiter will bo on the meridian between 8 and 9 in the evening at tho beginning of the month, and gradually earlier towards tho end, its R.A. being 23.30 and its Declination South 5.45. It will bo in conjunction with the Moon on the 16th. Saturn, in Gemini, passes the meridian at 4 a.m. Uranus (R.A. 21 hours. Doc. S. 18, in Caprieornus) reaches the meridian about sunrise. Neptune is in Cancer. CULMINATIONS. Tho following bright stars, as seen from Dunedin, will culminate at tho hours named on the Ist of tho month, and 3min 56seo earlier daily afterwards. _ „ h. m . r.
