A donation of £2O towards “war expenses” has reached the Prime Minister from Mr John Robert Carter, of Saddle Hill, Dunedin (says tho_ New Zealand Times). Mr Carter mentions that he and his brother are engaged m farming operations, and are physically incapacitated from serving with the troops, _ but_ they are anxious to help the dominion in the hour of trial.
