A BRITISH SUBMARINE SINKS A GERMAN DREADNOUGHT IN THE NAVAL ENGAGEMENT OFF THE GULF OF RIGA During the naval battle m the Gu'f of Riga, two German cruisers and eight torpedo bolts were put out of action or sunk by the Russians, and an English submarine torped ed one of the most powerful German dread louglits. In this engagement the Russians lost the gunboat Sivou.ch, which, "wra. ped in flame, continued to answer shot for shot until she went down, having previously sunk an enemy torpedo boat.”
