KAITANGATA NOTES.
(From Ode Own Correspondent.) KAITANGATA, October 21.
The annual meeting of the Kaitangata Poultry Society was held in the Presbyter ian "Church Hall last evening, when there was a good attendance of members. Mr W. R. Michalis presided. The'balance sheet disclosed a balance of £9 12s 3d, which was considered highly satisfactory. The entries last year increased by 19 iron? the previous year. Office-bearers were elected as follow: Patrons —The Hon. James Allen, Messn Robert Lee, Y\ 7 . D. Carson, Robert Aitche son, A. Gillanders, E. M‘Fadyen, G. E. K< Brown, J. M'Crostie, J. Hi slop, Mat. Carson, David Bryce, Thomas Espie, P. Sonness; president, Mr W. R. Mechalis j vice president, Mr J. Pryde; secretary, Mr James Thompson : assistant secretary, Mr H. Martin ; committee—-Messrs Sharman, Jenkinson, Ramsden, Anthony, A. Jarvie, Barclay, Oliver Finch. Lavery, G. Grey, J. Brennan, M‘Farlane, Hill, Tosswill’, Captain Rutherford ; trustees—Messrs W. R. Michalis and A. Jarvie; auditors— Messrs E. P. Lavery and E. M'Fadyen. Votes of thanks were passed to the auditors, donors of prizes, and to the retiring secretary (Mr F. J. Tosswill). It was decided to take a number of books of tickets in a monster art union to be run in connection with the affiliated clubs, to be drawn in Christchurch nexl year, proceeds to go towards the Woundec Soldiers’ Fund.
