DUNEDIN SHAKESPEARE CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING,
The thirty-eighth annual meeting of the Dunedin Shakespeare Club was held on Thursday evening. The president (Mr T. W. Whitson) occupied the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. Ihe working membership of the club comprises 44, of whom 21 arc ladies and 23 gentlemen, being a decrease of 14 members upon the previous year’s roll. The honorary membership is 165, a decrease of 25 upon . that of the previous year. The treasurer’s report shows the chib to be in a sound financial position. The following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr T. W. Whitson; vice-presidents—Messrs J. C. Stephens, T. H. Osborn, and T. G. Brickoll; committee —Messrs Williams and Fleming, Mesdames Burton and Wakefield-Holmos; auditor, Mr M'Ncil; hon. secretary, _Mr H. W. Hunter; hon. treasurer, Mr Carrington. A special vote of thanks was accorded the retiring secretary (Mr E.A. Duncan), who had held that office for the last five years.
