A very impatient man who had been persuaded to go to church with his wife, though much against his will, scandalised those who were sitting in his immediate vicinity whilst thej>reachor was reading the third chapter of Daniel, wherein the Babylonian musical instruments —“cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer”— arc enumerated over and over again. He let it pass twice, but when the third time came no exclaimed: “Band as before!” Ladies know them to have no equal— Martin’s Apiol and Steel Pills.
