WAR REGULATIONS ACT. WELLINGTON, October 12. William Price and John Joseph Dignan, trimmers, who signed on the articles of ships chartered by the Government for special purposes, were charged with the breach of a contract made under the War Regulations Act. The men came ashore and got drunk, and were arrested. There pas a difficulty in filling their places, and serious delay and inconvenience were caused to the ships. The men denied any intention of desertinn-. Their clothes were aboard. Each man was sentenced to a month’s imprisonment and fined for drunkenness.
