FATAL FIRE AT WOOLSTON.
CHRISTCHURCH, April 19. A fatal fire occurred at Woolston on Saturday evening, a five-roomed house occupied by Thomas Frederick Jago and owned hy Mrs E. M. Gordon (Dunedin), being burnt to the ground. Mr Jago removed his son, a boy of three years, from the building just after the fire started, and then returned to the house _ and fetched out his grandson, a boy of eight. Subsequently his son was missed, and an examination of the debris brought to light the bones and charred trunk of the boy. At the inquest a verdict of “Accidental death’t was returned.
