Reports arc reaching' Geraldine of numerous losses amongst newly-born sheep, the consequence of the cold snap that sot in on Saturday, the 28th (says the Timaru Herald). One settler lost 100 sheep, and on the Rangitata Plains the losses were numerous. On the morning of the 2nd inst. there was a stiff frost in the Geraldine district, and potatoes were again nipped.
