ANSWER TO CORRESPONDENT.

Beth.—(l) If the dandruff is dry and flaky apply equal parts of castor oil and eau de Cologne two or three times a week; but for greasy, scurfy hair the following is better; —Spirits of ammonia Joz, tincture of cantharides Joz, lavender water or rosemary Joz ; water, about Boz. The hair should be washed every three or four weeks in a good soap lather, or you may use a shampoo powder instead of soap, and massage with the finger-tips night and morning helps to keep the scalp in good condition. (2) I should not recommend you to try to remove hair from the face and arms.
