LONDON, July 17. In the House of Commons, Mr H. L. Samuel (Postmaster-general) said the construction difficulties had delayed the establishment of Imperial wireless stations, but the difficulties were now practically overcome. Masts have been constructed in England for Egypt, and material sent to East Africa, India, and Singapore. .PEKING, July 17. The Government is afraid to authorise the Marconi Company’s issue of two millions sterling of Chinese bonds in payment of proposed wireless stations throughout China. * MELBOURNE, July 17. After a conference between the manager of the Australasian Wireless Company and the Commonwealth Crown Law authorities, the Hon. Agar Wynne announced that he intended to recommend to the Cabinet that the wireless litigation between the Marconi Company and the Commonwealth be settled on the following terms : That the action against the Common-
wealth for an infringement of patent rights be withdrawn, also all opposition to the use of the Balsillie system in Australia; that the company wants a license for the use of Marconi patents, including the re-cently-acquired Goldschmidt patents, in Australia, and for the purpose of communication with New Zealand; that the company receives from the Commonwealth £SOOO.
