Many owners, trainers, and jockeys boycotted the meeting at Victoria Park this afternoon, demanding that the prize-money be increased to a minimum of £IOO for each race. Icon made tho early running. Wadden and Rogue’s March fell at the fence near the Saltwater Bridge.
whore Zephuron took charge, followed by Icon, Statecraft, Coradjil, Miser, and Anarcrion. At the first hurdle Zephuron showed the way to Anacreon, Coradjil, United Kingdom, and loon. Along the back stretch Zephuron continued to improve his position, and' at the Abattoirs he had a 10 lengths’ clear load of United Kingdom, with Coradjil next. The leader negotiated the last fence two lengths ahead of Guncap, United Kingdom, and Anacreon. Going on, he won by a length. Coradjil was beaten by four lengths for second position. <?
