Sheep farmers will be interested to learn that Japanese buyers are apparently operating in this district (says the Poverty Bay Herald). In some of the stores bales of wool arc to bo seen branded with the Yokohama and Kobo addresses. It is understood that some local wool went to Japan last year, but this year’s shipment is a much larger one. The bales, undumped, will be shipped to Sydney, where they will be transhipped to one of the Japanese liners.
