Mrs Thompson, 43, a visitor to Sydney from New Zealand, was found in an unconsewus condition in her room at the Victoria Coffee Palace, Pitt street (says the Sun). An empty bottle was' by her side. She died on the way to the Sydney Hospital. On Monday, 6th inst., a four-roornod dwelling Tokonui, owned and occupied by Mr J. M. Sutherland, was, tot-ally destroyed by (says the Wyndham Farmer). Only a py* articles of clothing were saved. The insurances were: £IOO on dwelling and £IOO on furniture, both with the South British Company.
