A iatal'.tv was narrowiy uvun.od at Westport on Friday, Nov. 28, when Mr Richard Herring, u-h'lo engaged in erecting protection works, was washed out to sea by an extra large wave. After being completely turned over several times, Mr Herring was fortunate in coming ashore again with another breaker, and those who witnessed the incident state that ho had a miraculous escape.
