WELLINGTON, December 8. Several amendments of some importance are included in the Hax'boura Amendment Bill circulated this evening. It is provided that candidates for elec- ! tion must deposit at nomination the sum of £3, which is forfeited if one-eighth of the votes polled by the successful candidate is not secured. It is provided that a board may by reso--1 lution, when all members are present, deI cide to pay any or all of its members a special allowance of £1 Is for each day's ! attendance at meetings of the board (in ! addition to expenses), at committee raeetI ings or on any authorised business of the l board. A great many minor amendments are 1 also made, included in which is one which permits the board to lease warehouses for Seven years instead of three as at present.
