At the Addington live stock market there were larger entries than last week, bat the attendance was limited on account of the wet weather Fat cattle were irregular, but the prices generally wore unchanged. Store sheep were in keen demand, but fat Jamba were in over-supply, and prices fell about 2s per head. Fat sheep wore algo easier. Pigs sold at late rates. Store Sheep.—Four-tooth wethers made 16s 4d to,lßs Id; good two-tooth wethers, 14s 6d to 15s 8d; medium two-tooth wethers, 15s to 14s; two-tooth ewes, 17s 2d: crossbred ewes, with lambs, 12s 7d, all counted. Farm Produce and Fruit. —We receive all kinds of consignments, and render account sales promxitly. CENTRAL PRODUCE MART. The Central Produce Mart (Reilly, Gill, and Co., proprietors) report for the week ending Saturday, December 6: Good prices have been ruling for all lines of local fruit during the past week; this particularly applies to strawberries and cherries, both lines of which have been short of requirements. The shipment ex Kaiapoi reached this market on Friday, the most recent transhipment arriving in excellent condition, and for this class of fruit a very keen demand was experienced. We sold some 500 eases of oranges ex Canada Cape at 18s 6d to 20s per ease. Nelson apples: A number of the consignments have been lying in Wellington some three, weeks, still, notwithstanding this, the fruit opened out in very good condition, and good values wore secured. The Maknra and the Talunc consignments came forward by the Wanaka. and also the balance of the Canada Capo's consignments on Tuesday, and wo expect good prices to be realised for the Canadian apples. Bananas: Our wireless message advises that there are 1500 cases consigned to this market, out of which 972 eases wore consigned to oui; care. These wo have sold at 15s 6d per case, in 50-caso lots and over. Gooseberries canto to hand freely. Green peas and new potatoes have been short of requirements, and s£d per lb was secured for best quality green peas. Cucumbers met an excellent demand from 12s to 15s per dozen. Tomatoes have been arriving freely, and experiencing a keen demand. Pigs are urgently wanted, per lb being secured for good lines. Christmas hams: Wo have just landed a line of 250 choice hams, which wc can offer at per lb. Eggs are rather easier, and the market has a tendency to harden. Poultry came forward in large numbers, old hens being in excess of requirements, and for these lower prices have to ho accepted. Ducklings met an excellent demand, 3s. 3s 6d, and 4s being paid for good lines. Spring cockerels also sold remarkably well, but old ducks were neglected.
