SIR JOSEPH WARD.
VISIT TO WINTON
INVERCARGILL, August 18,
Sir Joseph Ward proceeded to Winton this evening, and was given a very cordial reception. Ho was entertained at dinner by the borough council end citizens, and was presented with an address of welcome.
Subsequently he was entertained at a conversazione, at which his supporters presented him with an address, eulogising his services to the Empire, tho dominion, and his own constituency, and expressing the hope that he would again assume the leadership of the Liberal parity. Sir Joseph Ward’s replies were on tho same lines as previously, and gave no indication of intentions regarding the Liberal leadership.
