A singular discovery lias been made on board the Antarctic ship, Terra Nova, which is at present on show at Cardiff docks (sayj Lloyds Weekly News of July 13). Tinned provisions in abundance have been found on the vessel in a secret hold, the discovery Iroing quite accidential. a loose board in Captain .Scott's cabin having led to a closer inspection. A sum of £lO 15a appeared in the treasurer’s statement of the Wairampa Hospital Board for the purchase of p.'TS. “Pigs! Pigs!” muttered a member, “ Wnat do we want pigs for?” The chairinan of the Central Committee stated that a cow had been purchased for use at the Mastcrton Hospital, and it had been decided to procure a few pigs to consume the refuse of the institution.
