MANCHESTER UNITY.
The Loyal Dalton Lodge (Balclutha) meeting was presided over by N.G. Bro. M‘Curdy. Three requests to be placed on the doctor’s list were granted to members of sister lodges. The balance sheet and auditors’ report for the previous six months were adopted. Two candidates were initiated. An invitation from the Kaitangata biethren to attend the lodge’s annual ball was received with thanks. P.G. Bro. William Bain (who has been laid aside as the result of an accident) was cordially welcomed on his reappearance. Bro. Bain has been absent on only five lodge nights during a period of 21 years, and then only on account of sickness or accident.
