The meeting passed a resolution demanding that the Executive should initiate a campaign against non- unionism. It urged the Executive to tlx a date whereon all railwayman must )>o unionists, and then to insist on an eight-hours day. and £1 10s per week as the minimum wage. Similar resolutions were passed elsewhere Mr Williams (General Secretary), speaking at the York meeting, said the present method of conciliation was too slow.
