TWO MEN ARRESTED.
CHARGE OF ASSAULT. AUCKLAND, August 18.
Henry Nazlor (35) and Claude Nazlor (31) were charged at the Police Court today with being found at night with offensive weapons in their possession, not having a valid reason, also with having assaulted Archie Douglas. Douglas, in his evidence, said he was talking to his mate (Edwards), when one of the accused bumped him into a ditch. Claude Nazlor then produced a tomahawk. saving, “ I’ll cut you to pieces. The Na/.lors then left. Edwards called the police, and accused wc re nr rested. The arresting constable said he found on them an empty revolver and a policemao’s baton, and on the way to the station one of the accused dropped a big sword knife. It appeared that they had been drinking, and stated that they carried the weapons because they intended to frighten their brother-in-law, who had not been treating their sister properly. The magistrate dismissed the charge of assault against Henry, and fined Claude Nazlor £5, and orderer that a prohibition order be taken out against him.
