HOW TO ENJOY GOOD MEALS
and good wines without
SUFFERING If ROM STOMACH TROUBLE.
It is a well-known fact among physicians, nnd even most people, that ho who dinea too well and likes wines will sooner or later become the victim of stomach acidity. In a recent medical article an eminent physician states that too much acid should never be permitted in the stomach, because it irritates the stomach walls, causing ulcers, and in time developing cancerous growth. Thi acidity is generally signalised by indigestion after taking w'nes, thick sauces, fruits, oi coffee, and the doctor believes that this it the real reason for most stomach complaints. In his own case, as well as among his patients, ho found that ordinary bisurated magnesia quickly neutralised the acid and made it disappear, thus enabling tho digestive organs to properly perform their natural functions.
Although this is such a simple and harmless remedy, tho Medical Report tells of a lady who had suffered for- years from what had been diagnosed as ulcer of the stomach, and whom it completely cured in a few weeks’ time. As bisurated magnesia is quite inexpensive, and can be easily procured from ’any good chemist, we publish this extract from tho doctor’s account of his experience for the benefit of readers who wish to enjoy eating well without suffering bad after-effects. —Advt
