TRAGEDY IN SYDNEY
SYDNEY, August 10. A mysterious tragedy occurred in the city to-day. Mrs Goldstein heard revolver shots in a lower room, and on investigation found her husband shot dead and a grown-up son seriously wounded. A revolver, three chambers of which were discharged, was lying between the bodies. The sou was taken to the hospital, but has not regained consciousness. The cause of the tragedy is unknown. The father and sou had a disagreement recently, and it is supposed that they renewed the quarrel to-day. August 11. The indications are that Goldstein shot his son while he was asleep, then turned the revolver on himself. His son’s condition is so low that he is not yet able to explain.
