THE OPIUM TRAFFIC.
LONDON, August 8. A deputation representing all religious bodies in the United Kingdom asked Sir E. Grey and Lord Crewe (Secretary for India) to release China from her obligation to permit the importation of 20,000 chests of Indian opium now in Hongkong (a treaty port).
