WAIMATE PLOUGHING MATCH.

The ninth annual match of the Waimato Ploughing Association was held last week in Sir A. J. Logan's paddock. The weather was bright throughout the day, and everything passed off satisfactorily. The office-bearers all worked hard, and great credit is due to their untiring efforts towards the success of the competition. The judges were: Ploughing. Messrs J. M’Connochic and D. Cooper; horses, Messrs U. Irving and P. Davidson ; jumping, Mr J. X. Freeman. The following are the results: Class A (open). —.7. C. Hay 1. A. Brown 2, A. Gibson 3; best fecring and best finish, J.
