CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER.
ACCUSED COMMITTED EOR TRIAL. CHRISTCHURCH, August 6. The circumstances connected with the Cadn-1 street fatality, in which a young ,rirl named Ida Una Heath Bradley lost her life through being run down by a taxi-cab on July 24, were related at the Magistrates’ Court to-day, when Phillip James Kelly was charged with _ manslaughter. At the inquest on the girl the Coroner recorded a yerdict that deceased had been run over by a taxi-cab driven by Phillip James Kelly in a negligent manner. and the present charge was then preferred against him. Evidence was given similar to that at the" inquest, and accused was committed for trial.
