LYTTELTON SHOOTING CASE.
CHRISTCHURCH. August 3. At the Magistrate's Court this morning Wilfred Edward Harper, the young man who was arrested at Lyttelton in connection with the shooting of Acting Detective Carney, appeared charged on remand that on July 25, with intent to reskt lawful arrest, he caused actual bodily harm. Accused, who was not represented by counsel, was committed for trial. Detective Carney is making a good recovery.
