MAKING A NEW MAN. WHAT A WELL-KNOWN MELBOURNE MAN TELLS YOU. Mother Seigei’s Syrup was His “Tip” from a Friend. ' Everybody has read in the magazines an<f fashion journals from time to time about the "new woman.” But we are going to tell you now of now a “ new man ” waa made—or, rather he will tell the story himself. It is no trick of magic, nor is it a story of imagination, but the plain, cold truth. The man is Mr Arthur Brown, of the Colonial Bank Hotel, Little Collins street, Melbourne, Victoria. lie is the proprietor of the hotel billiard room, and one of the most skilful billiard players in Viotoria. His business keeps ‘him indoors * great deal, and much of the time well into the night . ' <■ "Some years ago,” ho writes, under date of April 27, 1912, " I suffered most acutely from indigestion and kidney complaint, and endured all the painful and distressing symptoms which accompany thosa ailment* 1 could find, no relief until one day a friend advised me to use Mother Seig*l’s Syrup.” This i$ where the making of the new map began—that little hint or bit of advice from a friend. " 1 began using the Syrup at once,” M* Brown goes on to say, “ and I bless rny friend for his advice and Mother SeigeJ’a Syrup for its action. The medicine quickly freed me from pain, and quite restored my digestive organs to healthy working order again—indeed, it is riot too much to say that Mother Seigel’s Syrup has practically made a now man of me.” HOW IT WAS D 0 S>J E. The making of the new man in this cane was brought about by the curative medicinal action of the herbal extracts of rooto, barks, and leaves of which Mother Soigel’o Syrup is composed. They exert a toaio effect on all the organs of digestion and excretion. As a result, the food is properly digested; the body is properly nourished; the blood is cleansed of the impurities which always result from disordered digestion; the nerves are toned up and strengthened and a condition of good health and spirits takes the place of pain, distress, w’eakness, and dejection. That is “the making of the new' man ” in Mr Brown’s case, and ho means to remain “ new,” strong, and well, for, in closing his letter, he says: — ” I now always keep a bottle of the Syrup at hand, for I find that an occasional dose regulates my system, does me good, and" preserves my health as nothing else will.” If you have pains after eating, sick headache,* bilious attacks, sleeplessness, constipation, feelings of depression, slack nerves, a furred tongue, and bad taste in the mouth, do not delay, but do what Mr Brown did—take Mother Weigel's Syrup. It makes new women as well as new men, and it will renew your health as it renewed his. Try it!

A mill has been busy in the district with spring threshing and cleaning grain for sowing (writes the Wendon correspondent of the Mataura Ensign) and as a sequel a nice l:no of about 1000 sacks of milling wheat has recently boon sold to a Gore miller for 4s per bushel on trucks. The oat market continues disappointing for those who stored, and- if prices are going to advance at all we expect to see them make a move soon, seed time being so near.
