D.L.F. SOCIAL EVENING.

The Dunedin Club hold a social evening in the Waratah Tea Rooms on July 23. The social was very well attended, there being over 30 D.L.F, and visitors. The following ore the names of those present: Francis (president). Adelina (vice-president), Oriel (secretary), Dulcie, Avico, Silverdale, Hebs. Malvina, Penny Stamp. Patience, Elbe Khee IT. Countess O’Kunin, Bimbo VI f. Ralph the Rover. Nik Karter, Billy Biirlow, Texas Jack. Maid of the Inn. Creamy, Ivanhoe, W.W.L.. Sully, Woodland Lassie, and twelve sisters. The social opened wiih the grand march." The programme ef dances was interspersed with games, guessing competitions, etc., while Avice sang Eileen Allanah in a charming manner. In the guessing competition Avice won the ladies' nri/.u fa dozen photos of herself), find Texas Jack the prize for men (a handsome fountain pen). The pr’zes were contributed bv Billy Burlow, to whom thanks are due. The supper proved a great success, thanks to the proprietor and staff of the Waratah Tea Rooms for their excellent catering. At the conclusion of the programme those present mined hands and sang a verso of “ Auhl king svne.” Three cheers were given for ihe musician.
