PRINCE PALATINE SOLD.
LONDON, July 30. Mr J. B. Joel has purchased Prince Palatine. The price is said to about £50,000. A cable message to the Sydney Sun, states that Prince Palatine will bo delivered after the race for the Jockey Club Stakes, when he will retire from the turf. July 31. Prince Palatine will carry Mr Pilkington’s colour's till October 2. August 1. It is stated that Mr Pilkington’s champion, Prince Palatine, ricked himself rather badly a fortnight ago while being shod. He should not have been allowed to run in the Goodwood Cup, as when he finished he showed signs of being leg-weary.
