ARRIVAL IN CANADA. VANCOUVER, July 25. The battleship New Zealand has arrived at Esquimalt. Sir Richard M‘Bride (the Premier) welcomed Captain Halsey on behalf of British Columbia, and the Hon. J. D. Hazen (Minister of Marine) on behalf of tha Federal Government. Motor car parades, aquatic galas, elaborate entertainments, and banquets have been arranged. July 28. The New Zealand has arrived here. A welcome was extended to the officers and crew by the Mayor and the military authorities. VICTORIA, July 27. Referring to the visit of the New Zealand Mr Hazen declared that he felt humiliated that Canada was unable to place three dreadnoughts beside the New Zealand in order to show Canada’s real sentiments of loyalty, but Canada’s opportunity had now gone. The Government was fully determined to carry its naval policy, which was merely delayed by an. unrepresentative Chamber, which thwarted the will of the people. Sir Richard M‘Bride, Mr Hazen, and tho Lieutenant-governor entertained Captain Halsey at a private banqeut.
