WESTPORT HARBOUR BOARD.

WESTPORT, July 22. The residents of Seddonvillo at a public mooting carried a resolution sympathising with Mr W. R. Simpson over the attack made on him In Parliament, and expressed their confidence in him as a member of the Bailor County Council and the Westport Harbour Board. At a meeting of the latter body the following resolution was also carried : “That the members of this board lias a high opinion of Mr Simpson’s personal qualities, and after sitting with him for some six meetings they have formed a most favourable opinion of Ids abilities as a public man, and regret that any occasion has arisen whereby he has to suffer in his effort to render such public service as he is capable of.”
