( TTARGKS DISMISSED. CHRISTCHURCH. July 23. Tivdi’c lads from tlio detention camp at Ripa Island were to-day charged with failing to render obedience to the commands of the officer at the camp. Mr Cassidy, for the defendants, contended that the lads detained were required under the Act to do only such duties as wore appointed by the commandant and approved by the Defence Minister. There was no proof that the duties which the defendants were ordered to carry out had been to approved by the Mmaster. The Magistrate upheld the contention and dismissed the informations.
