r J*fio various fleets of whaling vessels which wore operating in southern waters some months ago are carrying out their work now on different parts of the Australian and South African coasts. It is not improbable that some of them will come back to southern latitudes again next season. The Australian Whaling Company' lias captured a total of 13 whales along the waters of the Now South Wales coast up to the middle of last month, but bad weather was considerably retarding operations.
