The Oatmeal Diet in Diabetes.
An exclusive oatmeal diet in certain cases of diabetes has been proved by a clever physician to be very advantageous. ahe patient must be fed exclusively on porridge or soup, consisting of oatmeal with eggs and flutter. This diet is found to be particularly beneficial in cases of diabetes in children. In some instances sugar which ha,d previously boon present in the urine in large quantities seemed to disappear within three days after beginning the strict oatmeal diet. In one case sugar reappeared at once after the eating of meat. This disease has increased very rapidly of late years, so that a diet which will retard its progress and aid to recovery is extremely important.
