THE lIARIHAHI AFFAIR. , HOKITIKA. July 15. As the outcome of tho flight which ocnuiTcd between two young men at Ilarihuri. South Westland, on tho 6tli inst., and during the progress of which one of the parties. Ronald Adamson, collapsed into unconsciousness and subsequently died, Samuel John Godfrey was charged to-day before Mr Hewitt. 8.M.. with unlawfully killing the deceased, under circumstance’s amounting to manslaughter. Lengthy evidence was taken, and the accused was committed for trial at the next Supreme Court sittings at Hokitika. Accused. for whom Mr Wells appeared, reserved his defence. He was admitted fo bad. himself in £IOO, and two sureties of £IOO each.
