„ A VIGOROUS ENGAGEMENT. ROME, June 13. The Turks made a vigorous surprise attack on Wednesday on the Italian position in the Lebda Hills. The Italian counter-attack resulted in the defeat of the Turks, who left 421 dead around the Italian position. The Italians annihilated another force from the Oasis. Thirty-one Italians, were killed and- 59 wounded. June. 17. The Italians effected a fresh landing at Busheifa, 60 miles east .of Tripoli. The guns of the warship Umberta dispersed the Arabs who were opposing the debarkation. LONDON, June 14. The Central News's Deli-Baba correspondent advises that the Turks attacked Castle Lebda on Wednesday and drove out the Italians, who left 1500 dead on the field. The Turks lost 50 killed and 150 wounded.
