REVOLT IN MEXICO
PROVISIONAL PRESIDENT PROCLAIMED. WASHINGTON, April 29. The Mexican revolutionists are demanding recognition by the United States. General Orozco promises peace and prosperity to the country when he is returned to power. MEXICO CITY, May 5. Emile Gomez, a Mexican lawyer, ha* been proclaimed provisional President of Mexico by General Orozco. The provisional capital is now at Jaurez. The appointment has been made chiefly with a view to its effect on the United States and the latter's non-recognition of the belligerency of the rebel movement
