Mumps are very prevalent in Masterton nnd in a very severe form—the worst for 20 years. The complaint, which was taken there by some members of a circus, has visited practically every family in Mastorton. and in many cases every member has been stricken down. In a number of instances the mumps have travelled inwards, necessitating patients being removed to hospitals for treatment.
