GALE IN CHRISTCHURCH.
CHRISTCHURCH. April 29. In a gale yesterday morning a store in course of erection at Dry den street, Addington, for the International Harvester Company, was wrecked. The beams for the roof had just been completed, and the whole was crushed down, splintering the heavy timber. The top side of the brick wall was damaged, and the rear brick wall foil back on the residence of. Mr John Caughley, head master of the West Christchurch School, completely wrecking part of the house. The occupants were away at church, and consequently no one was injured. Mr F. E. Shaw, the builder, says the building was thoroughly secured on Saturday.
