RECIPROCAL TRADE
CANADA AND OTTAWA, April 10. The West Indies agreement remains secret pending its submission to Parliament, but an official statement declares that it provides generous reciprocal preference. TORONTO, April 11. At a banqpet in honour of the West Indian delegates, Mr Foster (Minister of Trade) said the treaty was the beginning of a wider system of Imperial trade. The preference next in order was Australia, and he hoped in a ft - years to bind the sisterhood of the Avhole Empire. Then they would be all ready to march on the Mother Country and secure one bond of commercial union throughout the Empire.
