ACTION FOR DAMAGES.
WELLINGTON, April 2. An unnsual claim for damages was heard in the Magistrate's Court to-day. On the evening of May 19, 1911, the plaintiff, a woman 68 years of age, was crossing Lambton quay after 5 p.m. The lamps were lit, and there was a drizzling rain. She was going to catch a tram. The defendant, a tailor, was coming In the opposite direction with his head down and in a hurry, collided with the plaintif, and knocked her across the tram track on her back. As a result of the collision The plaintiff was injured, and she claimed damages. After hearing the evidence the magistrate awarded plaintiff £l3 and expenses (£5 14s. J
