NO-LICENSE CONFERENCE.
PALMERSTON N., April 6. At the annual No-license Convention of the Wellington, Taranaki, and Hawke'fl Bay provinces the following resolutions were passed:—"That any proposal to appoint separate days for taking the political and licensing polls he strongly opposed by the party ; that the time has arrived when further political action is necessary for the repeal of the threefifthe majority ; that the convention tirgea the executive to bring before Parliament the just, claims of the party for a reduction in the three-fifths majority; that the convention recognises the necessity of strengthening the position of the local option issue.'' _
