gers, vertigo, fardl-e-bound, etc. Th<s omasum (third stomach), or nianyfolds, is composed of a number of membranous leaves placed side by side for the purpose of grinding- down the coarser particles of food which may have •escaped mastication in chewing the cud, especially when the grass is dry and withered with a sprinkling of young green grass amongst it. It is a very fatal disease, and requires to be energetically treated in its early stage. J. B (Tokonui). —You might try painting the swelling with strong tincture of iodine, or the liniment of iodine; but if it is not dying material damage to the animal we would advise you to leave it alone. FARMER (Orepuki).—The specimen was dried and shrivelled up, thus rendering it useless as a diagnostic agent. If you forward another one, put it in an ounce bottle filled with spirits of wine. The liver would be unsafe to use as food.
