Tuesday, October 10 (Before Mr H. Y. Widdowson, S.M.) Judgment was given for plaintiffs in the following undefended cases : —Taratu Coal Co., in liquidation, v. RobertDasler (Tokaratu), £4 6s lid, for coal; Mills. -Dick, and Co. v. James Park. (Strachan's Siding), £6 6s, for work v and goods; Taratu Coal Co. (in liquidation) v. John M'Mustrie (Windsor), 10s 6d, for coal; Alexander M'Lean v. Angus M'Neill, £5, amount of an order from the Drainage Board: Ahlfield Bros, v. James Ferguson (Waipawa), £7 16s 2d. for goods D.T.C. v. Henry Perry, claim £1 Os 9d, on a judgment summons.—Mr Mpore appeared for plaintiff, rnd defendant was ordered to pay 15s 9d, with costs, forthwith : in default 48 hours' imprisonment.

Defendant, who explained that he engaged the girl after being- for a long time unable to obtain the services of another, was fined 10s. Edward Crosland (Mr J.. S. Sinclair) v. Frederick Morgan.—Claim £4 0s 3d, on a judgment summons. —The defendant was examined as to his position; after which tlia magistrate declined to make an order.
