VALUABLE STUD STOCK FOR NEW ZEALAND.

Th» Kia Ora, whieh arrived recently, had on ; board some, valuable stud sheep, cattle, and horses, including a. Romney rain for Mr J. W. Harding, of Waipufcurau, a stud Southdown ram for Mr A. J. Stone-Wigg, of Opaki, and the stud Romney Marsh rajra lamb for Mr E. Short, Paror'angi, Feildi'ng. A North Devon bull and. two heifers arrived for Mr W. J. Buiek, of Thoresby, Marton. The bull, Claudius, is from his Maiesty the Kings Windsor herd. The hoofers, Highland China Cup arid Highland Vanity, are from the well-known herd owned by Mr C. Morris, of Highfield Hall, near St. Albans. There were also on board two Jersey bulls for Mr H. of Carterton, purchased for him by Mr Stuckey. A pedigree shorthorn bull comes to the order of Mr W. T. Williams, of Awarua, Pukehou, Hawke's Bay. The bull is Bapton Mascot. There were also Romney rams "and 10 ewes for Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Dunedin, and the four-year-old Clydesdale stallion Black Douglas, imported by Mr J- Boag, for the Middlerigg Stud. The Kent brought out for Mr J. S. Scott, of Rakaia, a fine purbred Clydesdale colt named Prince Osiris. The animal, which arrived in good condition', notwithstanding the long voyage, was foaled in 1909, and was bred by Mr James Veitch, Summerston, Maryhill, Glasgow. His sire, Court Victor, was reserve two years in succesion for the Glasgow procession, being beaten for first place by a half brother.
