THE KNIGHT OF ST. GEORGE.
AUCKLAND, October 9. The steamer Boveric, which has ari'ived from San Francisco, via Tonga, reports that the prospect of floating the Knight of St. George, ashore at Nukualofa, is remote. The greater part of the cargo has been saved at considerable cost, and most of it ie in good condition. It is 'probable that the decks will have to be ■blasted to enable the heavy lumber to be removed. The Boveric brings part of the salvage cargo, including 208 tons of copper, 3000 packages of general merchandise, and a ehipment of electrical gear valued at £30,000 consigned to the New South Wales Government.
