The misareanfc, .with perhaps a companion or two. is growing bold, and frocks to such an extent that the police have to invoke the aid of the public in an effort to catch the offender. During last week nearly a. dozen women had their clothing almost burned oft'_ their bodies by vitriol being thrown: on it. At a meeting of the stewards of the Woodvillo Jockey Club last month a letter was received enclosing two tickets on a horse which was second and paid a dividend of £1 17s at the February meeting.
